Covid-19 has had many negative effects on society, but it has also had at least one positive one – people have developed new ways to be sociable. After years of social distancing, we are now more careful in protecting public and private spaces. We feel a new need to care, and for better ways to coexist in our interconnected, technologically advanced, yet incredibly fragile, reality. Architects and city planners thus become key actors in a global effort to reimagine the places where we live. In this issue of ARCHITYPES we try to discover in which direction we are heading.
